The Father of Philippine Impressionism, Roger San Miguel, is the featured artist at the Artphile booth in this coming South Arts Festival. Ka-Roger, as he is fondly called, is most definitely a Southerner, having raised his family in BF Homes for decades. He is a living institution in Philippine art, and his works that capture the many scenes of the Filipino lifestyle and character will be certainly prized and cherished.
“It is indeed very meaningful to have Roger San Miguel and his art available at South Arts Festival. Personally, I grew up in the same neighborhood as Roger and proudly know of his influence in many artists’ lives and for art in general,” confesses festival organizer JJ Duque.
“His works will be something that festival-goers will want to experience if they haven’t already,” Duque adds.
The annual South Arts Festival will be on April 22, 2018 at the Filinvest Tent, Filinvest City, Alabang. Doors open as early as 10am and the festival goes on up to 9pm. There will be over 60 booths featuring artists, art groups and art galleries, showcasing the best art.
South Arts Festival would like to thank its partners Art+ Magazine, Inside Manila, Community Connect, CityNeon and Filinvest City.
